Modular Recreation
Upon dissecting the prototypical housing configuration, we assembled a kit of parts by which program could be assigned and then rearranged depending on the specific inhabitant’s needs. From there, we took these configurations and organized them on to the ever-flexible grid; thereby establishing a means for MEP systems to run about in a controlled manner. It is from this grid that we could inject moments of recreation in the form of rock-climbing walls, multipurpose platforms, outdoor gyms, and a running track. These elements are in constant dialog with the residents, forming a cohesive entity.
