Leading Lines
Leading Lines is an exploration in the line’s role in composing a scene and outlining the formal and rhythmic characteristics of the various building I have encountered throughout my travels. Using the sky as a frame, the building fragments find themselves isolated and highlighted in space. Having gathered a collection of compositions, I realized I could analyze them as independent comparisons of form. The formal analogies presented in the book show that perspective, approach, and composition all come together to form similar configurations across multiple building typologies.
