When initially analyzing the station’s context, I realized the site could be categorized into three main dedications: the city, transportation, and natural park. By then establishing a route between the Labics complex and the Tibertina Station, I could then deploy the system I adapted from the Porta Furba precedent. Using the walls to weave together the contextual zones, I could thereby assign proper programmatic elements to the newly created pocket spaces: terminal, community center, and outdoor market. The main structural elements, circulation pathways and secondary utilitary services were designated to inhabit the poche of the walls. The main programmatic elements are held within the area of the pocket spaces but suspended above inside containers that branch between the two walls.
